back pain duration classified to three types as follow:

 

  • Acute back pain:

 Acute pain can occur suddenly, and the effect will be temporary for a few days or four weeks.

 

  • Subacute back pain:

Subacute back pain will last more than acute back pain like four to twelve weeks.

  • Chronic back pain:

Chronic pain   will occur from time to time and even in unexpected ways.

For instance, it can occur suddenly or over time and will last more than acute pain (4-12 weeks)

 

  • Middle back pain:

You can feel this pain when it occurs below the neck and above the bottom of rib cage in the thoracic spine.

 

This pain can be caused by muscle aches, dull pain, burning sensation, chest                      pain weakness on legs or arms.

 

  • Thoracic back pain (upper back pain):

Thoracic back pain or upper back pain affects the twelve vertebrae attached to your chest ribs.

 

Thoracic back pain is very serios back pain because it will affect your cardiopulmonary system and if you encounter any unusual symptoms such as fever, chill ,unusual weight loose or constant pain, you should consult doctor immediately.

 

  • Neck pain (cervical spine):

 

Neck pain can affect your head, shoulder hands and even your legs or any part below your neck.

 

Neck pain can last for few days or weeks, but if the pain takes more than that, then you need to consult a doctor for treatment.

 

Neck pain can interfere with you daily routine such dressing, sleep and can reduce the range of motion.

 

Neck pain can be in one spot or spread to a wide area, and sometimes will accompany headache or muscle spasms.

 

If neck pain is associated with ever, chill or tingling that radiate to arms or legs, doctor must be consulted for treatment.

  • Smoking reduces calcium absorption and weakens your bones growth, if you are smoker consider quitting or at least reduce smoking as much as possible.
  • Reduce the drinking of alcoholic.
  • Don’t stay in bed for long period of time.

  • Knee to chest stretch.
  • Bridge exercise.

  • Make the habit of practicing daily stretches, to prevent muscle tightness which will cause stress to back and joint as well.
